# How to use PhotoCraft online

You need a working copy of an image and a browser that supports the editor’s graphics backend.

## Start PhotoCraft online

Select Start editing and wait for the application to load. Inside the editor choose Open, or File → Open, then select an image from your device. Use a duplicate when the original is important.

## Make a small change first

Try a brush stroke on a test image. Inspect the canvas and layer list before attempting a longer project. The editing controls inside the workspace are supplied by PhotoCraft.

## Save a working document

Use File → Save As to download a PSD working copy. Give it a different name from the source. Check the download finishes and keep the file where you can find it.

## Export a finished image

Use File → Export → Export As and choose PNG for a flat output. Open the downloaded result, check its dimensions and appearance, and keep both the project and output.

## FAQ

### Why do I see PhotoCraft inside the workspace?

PhotoCraft is the open-source application powering this independent site. We keep its original interface and attribution.

### Will my work be saved when I close the tab?

Download it before closing. Do not rely on an open browser tab as your only saved copy.
